According to Money Magazine 2008 the best place for job growth is Evans, GA. According to the Federal census figures, Columbia County is the region's fastest growing county. Between 1990 and 2000, the county added more than 23,000 residents increasing its population to more than 89,000. By July 2007, Columbia County's population was estimated to be well over 109,100.
